XTC - Xtreme Team Championship

XTC is an F1 Esports Tournament setup on 22/02/2023 with the end goal of being the most prestigious Community F1 Esport Tournament


XTC Season Breakdown

Season 1

We began in Season 1 with MAR Harry as our Owner, alongside BRT finbob, zZirconium, cndelta and Bence Pandur as Admins.

 

Season 1 was a 3s Academy Tournament with 7 teams taking part to create a 21 car grid.

Teams: DLR-FP1, GSR, HPR, LMFJ, MAR, WRL and XPG.

 

We competed every other week across 7 Rounds on F1 22.

In the end, HPR became XTC's first ever Champions! GSR came home in the Runners-Up spot.


Season 2

Going into Season 2, XTC decided to expand up to 2 Divisions, 1 Main and 1 Academy denominated as 'Cup' and 'Trophy'.

We also changed up our Administration team to bring in Tommofrog35073 and FGE Atom77.

 

Season 2 was a 2s Tournament with 10 teams taking part to create a 20 car grids across both Divisions on F1 23.

Cup Teams: ABS, AMS, DLR-FP1, GSR, IRT, LRN, PRT (Power), SRT, TIR and TVR. LRN and TVR later left the Tournament throughout the season, they were replaced on the grid by PMR and AERT.

Trophy Teams: ASR, DLR-FP1, GSR, HPR, IRT, MAR, PRT (Phoenix), PRT (Power), SRT and TIR. PRT (Phoenix) later left the Tournament throughout the season, they were replaced on the grid by PMR.

GSR also rebranded to CRE throughout this Season.

 

We competed every week on Wednesdays (Trophy) and Sundays (Cup) across 10 Rounds.

In the end ABS became Cup's first ever Champions! CRE came home in the Runners-Up spot.

Equally, CRE became Trophy Champions! HPR came home in the Runners-Up spot.


Season 3

Going into Season 3, XTC expanded up to 3 Divisions, 1 No Assists, 1 Main and 1 Academy denominated as Tier X, 1 and 2.

However, before entering our third Season, we brought in CxK Rage to help develop the Tournament in the Administration Team.
We also brough in ZRT Geekin to aid with our Management of the Tournament.

Season 3 was equally the first Season where we introduced Qualifiers to get on the grid! These were held at Belgium, Spa-Francorchamps.

 

Season 3 was also a 2s Tournament with 10 teams taking part to create 20 car grids across all 3 Divisions on F1 23.
Tier X Teams: AERT, AMS, ETE, FGE, IRS, IRT, RP1, SRT, URT and V10. IRT and AERT ended up closing down, as well as URT later leaving throughout the season, they were replaced by BRT, FRC and XPG.
Tier 1 Teams: ABE, ABS, AMS, CRE, DLR-FP1, ETE, HPR, OSM, SRT and URT. URT ended up later leaving throughout the season being replaced by LMFJ, as well as CRE rebranding to FRC.
Tier 2 Teams: ABE, AERT, CRE, DLR-FP1, FGE, MAR, OSM, SRT, URT and V10. AERT ended up closing down, URT later leaving throughout the season being replaced by HPR and AE. As well as CRE rebranding to FRC.

 

We competed every week on Wednesdays (Tier 2), Thursdays (Tier X) and Sundays (Tier 1) across 10 Rounds.

In the end V10 became Tier X's first ever Champions! BRT came home in the Runners-Up spot.

Equally, ETE became Tier 1 Champions! OSM came home in the Runners-Up spot.

Finally, SRT became Tier 2 Champions! FRC came home in the Runners-Up spot.


Season 4

Going into Season 4, XTC decided to maintain the 3 Divisions. 1 No Assists, 1 Main and 1 Academy denominated as Tier X, 1 and 2.

However, before entering our fourth Season, we decided to promote AERT Tommo to Co-Owner of the Tournament alongside MAR Harry as Owner

Season 4 we maintained having Qualifiers, however this time we decided to host these around Australia, Melbourne!

 

Season 4 was also a 2s Tournament with 10 teams taking part to create 20 car grids across all 3 Divisions on F1 23.

Tier X Teams: ABS, AMS, ARS, ATX, FGE, GRS, IRS, LMFJ, TTM and V10. GRS and V10 ended up closing down, as well as ABS withdrawing at a similar point in the season, they were replaced by ORT, STR and AERT. ORT later folded and STR later withdrawed, these were then replaced by WOR and GBR. However these 2 teams later was removed from the championship due to various reasons and replaced for the final 2 rounds by CRE and ETE.
Tier 1 Teams: AMS, ATX, BRT, DLRFP1, ETE, FGE, GRS, MAR, TTRE and V10. GRS and V10 ended up closing down throughout the season and was replaced by STR and XPG at the midpoint of the Season
Tier 2 Teams: ABE, ARS, DLRFP1, ETE, FGE, LMFJ, MAR, SAE, TTRE and V10. ABE and SAE were found at Round 2 that they did not have a Main Team side to the team and was removed due to this and replaced by FRC and BRT. FRC and V10 later folded and was replaced by GRS and AERO. GRS then folded and was replaced by XPG. FGE then removed their Academy and was replaced by AERT for the final 2 rounds of the Season

 

We competed every week on Wednesdays (Tier 2), Thursdays (Tier X) and Sundays (Tier 1) across 10 Rounds.
In the end IRS became Tier X Champions! TTM came home in the Runners-Up spot.
Equally, ATX became Tier 1 Champions! MAR came home in the Runners-Up spot.
Finally, ETE became Tier 2 Champions! And XTC's first Double Champions! TTRE came home in the Runners-Up spot.


Season 5

Going into Season 5, XTC decided to maintain the 3 Divisions. 1 No Assists, 1 Main and 1 Academy denominated as Tier X, 1 and 2.

However, before going into Season 5, we promoted TTRE Elite to our Admin and Graphics Team

In Season 5 we maintained having Qualifiers, however this time we decided to host these around Mexico, Mexico City!

 

This Season was also a 2s Tournament with 10 teams taking part to create 20 car grids across all 3 Divisions in our final Season on F1 23.

Tier X Teams: AERT, AMS, ARS, ATX, BRT, FGE, IRS, LMFJ, NLR and TTM.
Tier 1 Teams: ABE, AERT, ATX, BRT, CRE, FGE, MAR, STR, TTRE and WOR.
Tier 2 Teams: ABE, CRE, DLRFP1, MAR, POR, SET, STR, TET and TTRE. ABE was later removed from the championship due to not submitting full line-ups and general inactivity and was therefore replaced by XPG with 2 rounds to go.

 

We competed every week on Wednesdays (Tier 2), Thursdays (Tier X) and Sundays (Tier 1) across 6 Rounds.
A shorter Season this time around due to an early release of the F1 24 game.
In the end NLR became Tier X Champions! TTM came home in the Runners-Up spot for the 2nd Season running
Equally, ATX became Tier 1 Champions! The first team to retain their Championship in XTC history! FGE came home in the Runners-Up spot.
Finally, AERT became Tier 2 Champions! CRE came home in the Runners-Up spot.


Season 6

Going into Season 6, XTC decided to maintain 3 Divisions that has become standard within the Tournament. 1 No Assists, 1 Main and 1 Academy denominated the same as Tier X, 1 and 2
However, before going into Season 6, we promoted MAR Jordan and EVR Jxmie to our Admin Team
In Season 6 we maintained having Qualifiers, this was done around Japan, Suzuka!

 

This Season remained a 2s Tournaments across the 3 Divisions with 10 Teams taking part to create 20 car grids across our Longest Season yet!

Tier X Teams: AERO, AMS, BRT, CRE, EVR, FGE, IRS, LMFJ, NLR and SET. BRT later removed themselves from the Tier and was replaced by XPG with 6 Rounds to go.
Tier 1 Teams: AERO, AMS, ARS, BRT, EVR, IFE, MAR, SET, TTRE and XPG. IFE later merged with TIR to form TIE for the remaining 5 Races. SET was also later removed from the tournament for multiple no lineup submissions and was replaced by HDL for the final 4 Races of the Season, HDL also later merged with POR for the final 3 Races.
Tier 2 Teams: AERO, ETE, EVR, LGS, LMFJ, MAR, POR, SET, TE and XPG. XPG was removed after 2 Rounds for no lineups and was replaced by BRT for the remaining 9 Rounds. POR's points were also reset after they merged with HDL with 2 Races to go of the Season.

 

We competed every week on Wednesdays (Tier 2) and Sundays (Tier 1), but Tier X was moved to Fridays for more availability across the 12 Race Season.
A longer Season this time around of 12 Races compared to the standard 10 Race Calendars to kick off the F1 24 Game Cycle.
In the end CRE became Tier X Champions! NLR came home in the Runners-Up spot after winning last Season
Equally, TTRE became Tier 1 Champions! First Championship for the TTRE team in XTC! EVR came home in the Runners-Up spot
Finally, EVR became Tier 2 Champions! Back to back with it being the rebranded AERT outfit! BRT came home in the Runners-Up spot, still yet to get a Championship in XTC history.
